get a mega bell ride

the customs are where it's at, though they're pricy... the avedis line is nice though. i have the avedis 18" fast crash and it sounds beautiful. got the a custom 14" hats and 19" crash, highly recommend those. definintely worth waiting and saving the money for them

I'll go out of limb here and say SABIAN AAX! I got a 17" stage crash and it's pretty sweet. Long sustain, good tones and feels nice to play on. The bell is pretty loud too which makes a nice alternative to the ride bell so you can have cool accents.

sabians sound harsher to me, for lack of a better word. less musical. of course, cheap zildjians sound like shit compared to cheap sabians. i would definitely take the higher end zildjians over nice sabians though
