You're saying if I go pick up an instrument and write a song I am just regurgitating someone elses work... That makes no sense whatsoever.

Okay I guess regurgitating is a little overboard, but you can't say that you're 100% original when you write a song either.
THAT is all I'm saying. So when people say breakdown's all sound the same my point is just that so does a riff that you write...
It sound's the same as some other band that's written a song similar to the one you wrote. I'm not suggesting by any mean's
that you've stolen the song but because there are so many musician's in the world you're bound to have copied someone's work
and not even known about it.
