its an XLR, the circle with 3 pins.

I beleive all mics are like that.

Ah, I see. Although I dont quite sure know what XLR means haha. I'll google it.

Basically you can't hook it up to the computer, XLR outputs are mostly used for PA systems (speakers on a big stage). There are also quarter inch outputs which hook up to amplifiers and then theres the USB which hooks up to your computer.
Imo: XLR > 1/4 in > USB

as long as your friend's amp has a quarter inch input then you're fine (most amps do).

in all honesty

XLR = 1/4 in > USB

XLR and quarter inch do exactly the same job, just 2 different methods of hooking mic up smile.gif now when you get into USB territory, thats when you lose quality smile.gif
