You can find em used for about 200-300 for a mexi strat

i wouldnt even bother with a squire. the first electric i ever owned was an Ibanez GSA 60, jewel blue. i love that damn thing. i got the pickups replaced, and i still use it! its a hell of a guitar for the price.

i would look into telecasters if fender type guitars are your style but i like gibson and epiphone and also some custom brands.

I'll check the teles in a sec. Edit: Nah Fender Tele is at the lowest $400 and it's a shitty guitar. A good cheap tele would run me $450-500 and on my college budget would take me like a month and a half to save for, not including money I need to spend towards my college debt.

RE-Edit: Also I been looking at this guitar for a year and I will go insane if I had to wait a month. I'm hoping to MAYBE be able to buy it thursday. If not I have to wait another two weeks before ordering @_@

then you need to wait a month. you dont want a piece of crap guitar that sounds worse and worse over time. shell out $350-$450 for a used strat/tele and people will take you a little more seriously (after practice scales). i wanted a new blueridge acoustic guitar (BR-160) sooo bad that i waited 6 months until i had the money -instead of buying a lesser guitar- and have never been more satisfied with a purchase for amount paid.

it seems to me there is no way in hell you're going to change your mind even though ALL of us say DON'T get a squier.

agree. dont ever ever ever buy a new squire. if you paid $100 for a used one id say fine, but otherwise go for a used fender/gibson/jackson/ibanez etc... you really dont want a mexican/korean guitar.
