the only limit I have run into is that it's much harder to palm mute in the style of picking I use.



but honestly i dont really care that much, i dont feel like spending a shitload of time practicing the regular style just to get back up to the speed I can do with my picking style now...



although, i do want to kick my old guitar teachers in the ass for not telling me the proper way to pick....

i've never really thought about the way i hold my pick before, but i just now realized that i use both my index finger and middle finger O_o

Its not too big of a deal, but it can throw your picking off balance and interfere with some techniques.

I played like that the first few months because it was comfortable, but once I started tapping, palm muting, and tremelo picking it became more of a liability.
