bands like opeth, in flames and children of bodom in my opinion cannot be shunted into this genre. they're too melodic. theyre all amazing, but just not pure brutal death metal in my opinion.
as i lay dying, trivium, slipknot and avenged sevenfold can not even be put into the genre of metal.
lets put them into a more suitable genre, pop music perhaps?

melo death does not equal death metal. However both are equally awesome.
