And for clarification, this forum is more for music in theory and creation, and when it says genres it means the specifics and qualifications of each genre, as well as its characteristics, not who likes what.

well if I hadn't gone on proving that this was a legit thread, then I would have explained the musical characteristics of some of the bands I posted, thus making it a discussion about the creation and stylistic characteristics of music.

Freezepop is like Kraftwerk in a sense. They have a singer & 2 synth players. It's synthpop, good stuff.
Casey Jones is a straight edge hardcore band. Fun stuff.
Opeth is, in my opinion, the single greatest band of modern times. There's no other band that sounds anything like them.
