Yeah ive been playin for 6 years took me 2 years to learn to sing AND play at the same time but i practiced my butt off day and night, night and day!! EVERYTHING takes practice..... quite literally

I'm having the same issues.
What i'm finding that helps a bit is playing songs that are slow and you are COMFORTABLE with.
Currently i'm learning stuff from Lifehouse. The stuff isn't difficult and it's giving me a sense of syncronized harmony
