I like Paganini's 5th Caprice, including Vai's interpretation. Most Dream Theater songs are awesome - I would recommend the arpeggio solo in The Glass Prison to start, as well as the short but sweet solo from Fatal Tragedy.

Best of all, make up your own material. This can turn out to be much more rewarding.

King basically plays both parts. It's a trip to watch.

But any version/style of that song is nice. Minus the "Let's make it a fully heavy metal jam!" versions...

Start looking at Malmsteen. His stuff is not easy at all to play. Also, Killswitch's new album has alot of technically difficult stuff to do. It's great fun aswell
