if you are starting guitar, get an acoustic. The chord progressions you can learn on Acoustic will always be with you when/if you play Electric.

Start with Acoustic smile.gif Look at Fender, Yamaha, Encore


you can learn the same chord progressions on electric without playing electric first...

Newcomers should stick to cheap fender-ish guitars. It's a standard guitar and later on you can go buy yr 7 chorded ibanez or yr Steve Vai Ibanez. All gay anyway ~
