So I just broke my headphones. They were working pretty well and I dont know if I should just by em back or go with something else with better sound quality.

I had The Stretch By PHILIPS and Designed by O'neil. I can spend up to 200$ on em. Any advice?

Thanks jsp

I like the Dre's too. Check out Grado Labs too. I think you're budget can get you the SR225i's. Very nice headphones! I Use the SR80's myself.

Maybe, but not much other than price is bad about them. Long lasting, excellent sound quality, I mean if I were to buy a Sony branded music player, i'd expect to pay more because I know the quality is there.

well yeah but you're paying for brand not necessarily quality

i recommend going to head-fi.org and sifting through the pretentious corksniffery and figuring out specifically what your tastes are then buy a pair accordingly. it's hard to make recommendations without knowledge of preferences IE closed vs open, bass vs mids vs highs dominance, etc

I find Sennheiser has some really good quality stuff.

I bought a pair of $70 ear buds from them recently and they sound amazing, really great bass.

I also have a pair of HD280s by them, I can tell they lack a good bass sound though. But for $100 they are really nice for tracking when I record music because they lock practically all the sound in.
I've heard the 380s are really nice though with awesome bass.
