Have you ever heard Chopin's Nocturne Op 9 no 2?
Rachmaninoff's version is the best in my opinion. Although it's so different, his rubato, sound, colors, and dynamics are just unbelievable.
What do you think?

You should definitely look into the renditions of the 4 Scherzos by Yundi Li

I would listen to the true masters such as :
Ricther, Horowitz, Rubinstein .

Oh,there's a really cool version of Rachmaninoff etude played by Prokofiev himself.
