Well...i got cakewalk setup today (for those of you that dont know...its a program that records your instrument onto your computer)

Anyways, I plug my guitar in, and i cant hear anything out of my computer...no music...no nothing...as soon as i unplug it, i can hear everything just fine...anyone have an idea of what may be going wrong? Please lmk asap :)

Where do you plug your guitar in.

I plug it directly into my computer...it came with a cord...one end has the natural guitar cord end thing..and the other is a usb plug

On your audio track
you have options like : M S R ))) A

Make sure the R is red( you clicked on it) before recording

I have M S then the record symbol...then input echo...should i have something else?

And i can record just fine...its just i cant hear the metronome or anything while i have my guitar plugged in

Are you sure the metronome is on?


So you can listen to your record once its recorded, but you don't hear your guitar while its recording?

Yes im sure its on...and once it is recorded and i unplug the guitar from my computer...then i can hear it...while its plugged in...i hear nothing

Have you tried with headphones?.
Also, is your RD button green, on the audio track?

I am using headphones..my turtle beaches...and what RD button? What is the RD button?
