How do you guys find the Blues?

Blues has become a massive part of my music collection, but playing it is a totally different story. Really difficult to get that feel out of the guitar, and it's extra difficult because the idols are SRV and BB King, 2 of the most emotive blues players ever to live.

I've been working on a few different bits - got the intro to Little Wing (Hendrix version) and it's sounding pretty damn good, then there's the newest one, Tin Pan Alley (AKA Roughest Place) and thats a great one. It sorter remains between the 8th - 13th frets and massively incorporates the minor pentatonic which is my scale of choice in all my playing (Thank you Iron Maiden).

You guys play the blues?

haha watch the whole thing, I slow down a bit :D I love stevie, my forte is more EVH though... that said what Is that riff i start in the beginning, I know its from a SRV type thing, I just dont remember (Im NOT doing it justice I know haha)

kind of a blues fusion type thingy I start out with. All improv, so thats why I kinda stall out from time to time.

Cool dude. The main riff reminded me of Rude Mood. I'd love to learn that one but FUCK - the man does incredible things lol

THANK YOU. I couldnt find it on youtube, just typing in "stevie ray vaughn blues riff" doesnt get me very far haha. I'll give it a go tomorrow and post it for ya ;)

I've been learning Tin Pan Alley. Youtube the 2 part Live in Montreax 1985 one. It's absolutely superb and has shot to my #1 blues song.
