This I can't agree with. Why is he over-rated? He commands a fretboard better than 90% in the rock/metal world and that is a fact.

Added to the fact he's been around for so long that his techniques have spawned new-age guitarists who although may do more complicated stuff, they all started learning Clapton.

Over-rated is such an abused term for anyone popular - pisses me off :mad:
