I've tried finding a Fender Mustang or Fender Jaguar for a while. They seem very hard to find for left handed, and the ones I found where over $2k, so I'm looking for a good guitar around 700-1k dollars. My option right now is a Fender Strat, but open to opinions.

just bought a strat. best investment ive ever made.

I would even recommend a Tele in this case. Strats are ftw - they are mighty fine machines. What about Gibson SGs?

I think your best bet is used my friend. Troll Kijiji/Craigslist, I find several Left Handed Guitars at fractions of the cost because there are so few Leftys.

I love the SG but the ones I saw where over 1k bucks. Telecaster is a possibility though.

Get a strat imo. You can likely find a nice lefty of the exact guitar you want (and for a good price) on craigslist, but you probably won't find it overnight or anything. I suggest keeping some money laying around just in case, and check craigslist frequently. It might be a week, month, years, etc b4 u find it but you will find one eventually at a good price. The biggest problem w/ finding an amazing deal on craigslist is, if you don't act fast, it will be gone. Eliminate that problem by keeping money handy and acting fast.
