You recommend Judas Priest to someone who's just starting? Uhh.... dude..... No....
I don't know anyone who can't learn these basic drum beats in 10 minutes, that is if they don't already know what to do from listening.

I already play piano guitar and the flute.. so why not?
I'm sure he can work out to check out the basics (eg how to hold sticks, sit at your drum kit and position your drums), after all he didnt ask anything about it...

ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN START LEARNING DRUMS SIMPLY BY PLAYING EASY SONGS?
I just answered this question
And will continue to answer whats asked, I would only delve into the pointless info your giving him when needs be =] He didn't let off any indication of being an idiot to me...
I never did basically anything you guys suggested btw

Although I do teach people differently than how I learnt to play
Even with that said, all info here thats been posted is worthwhile and should be noted. But does not mean that is THE WAY to do things. There's nothing wrong with jamming along to those judas priest tracks right now, or you might hate judas priest so go choose something simple yourself. The radio will give you a song with a steady beat in it in no time at all if pop music is your thing.
Having a tutor in your chosen instrument is more about the psychology of learning rather than anything else. So it's not as important as alot of people think, but without the right frame of mind and self motivation you won't progress without a teacher.

posting in a dysgenics thread, rofl.
I'm charmed lol, if I post it means I own the thread now? I obviously showed you some respect

Edit: I should probably mention I'm a drum tutor with 14 students.
