Is any of this good?

Only heard a few tracks I like but it sounds like poorly disguised metalcore.

Is it just that all I've heard is crap?...

When i think of epic metal I think of progressive and power metals, not metalcore like you said.

What the fuck was that.

Crap metal.

As far as Epic metal goes, obviously Iced Earth and Maiden are at the top.

I also recommend:
Iron Savior
Sonata Artica (surprisingly good)

And Amon Amarth. Yes, it's Viking Death Metal but Embrace Of The Endless Oceans is one of the most epic battle songs i've heard since Battle Metal appeared lol

But for some metal that is epic, these guy's are going in the totally wrong direction (no offence forum)
