knock squier like everyone else, my first bass was a squier p bass and it lasted me 5 years of gigging, had excellent action and decent tone.

I use a squier j bass and the fuckin tone knob broke after removing the faceplate once to fix the cable input

first of all.. face plate? do you mean pick guard?

second of all, you don't need to take off the pick guard to fix the input jack. third, why the hell did you try and take the pickguard off without removing the knobs? they have little hex screws. the pick guard doesnt fit around the knobs, so the only situation i see occuring for it to break is you yanking on the pickguard like a n00b.

I'm referring to the metal plate where the knobs and input are at


and yes, I removed the knobs first


which apparently a squier product can't handle

i use a schecter diamond 5 string and J squire. both are awesome in my opinion.

but i love playing bass. If you want the spot light its going to be very hard to take it as a bass, but it is possible.
