im looking to buy one, but im not sure which, and im not sure really what the difference is.

G2 has more knobs, that means easier to operate. Maybe a few more editing options and as larger memory bank. Steel chassis. G1 might be plastic.

I would suggest not buying either, zoom pedals are crap.

then what would you suggest in the same price range? i know someone who had one, and it seemed pretty nice.

Go with the zoom if you liked your friends. They can probably show you how to get around on it too. Check out the digitech multi EFX's though. The RP90 has a lot for the money and I always found these to be the easiest to use.

i found a digitech i was thinking about, and then these zoom pedals. i think i was looking at the RP155.

Get that. That'll be good for not a lot of money.

you think i'd be able to get a good metal sound out of it? and can it be used to record to a computer?
