i want software that you pay for so i dont get some peice of shit software

post up some softwares and ill look em up and check em out

i just need suggestion on what software to buy

mbox -> logic
else ableton live
or cubase 4/5

cubase + logic is best for recording/mixing
live is best for.. live..

Currently using Cubase and I love it, very user friendly and such.
Didn't test everything (Such as VSTs or MIDIs) yet but I don't believe there should be any problem.

Editing or sampling/creating?

im going to be recording my music with it then editing it or w/e

i currently have ableton live lite but it seems like it fuckin sucks

its very confusing
i dont even know how to edit clips if you even can
and its some trial shit
only lets me use 4 audio tracks which is friggin gay

Audacity is free and not so bad.

Reaper is free, and is easier to use and just as good as any software you pay for.

Technically it is not free. But the software never stops working, or never looses any function after the 30 day trial. If you plan on making cds to sell i suggest you purchase a license (60 dollars i beleive)
