You start playing the instrument you play today?

I'm 16 and my friend plays drums and I think it would be cool to learn some stuff either drums or guitar.

Is 16 too late to start, or is it "never to late to follow your dreams" like the old cliche says

i started drumming when i was 11, and i kick ass now, and never too late lol, chris adler started drumming when he finished university

Don't think you're too old to start, I started drumming and piano at 17 (had been at guitar since 14). The amount of time it takes depends on how willing to work at it u are!

I started playing guitar when I was 18. My parents tried to get me to start playing when I was like 10 but I had no interest in it whatsoever and now I'm kicking myself for it.

I use my only instrument I can that's vocal's I rap, and yes singing is a hard ass thing to do and I have taken writing lessons and singing lessons its never to late to start something u are passionate about whether it be music or anything else

I agree the earlier you start the better. As a child that is still developing it is much easier to grasp new concepts and apply them. However that is not to say that when you get older you cant start. It all depends on your attitude and the ammount of time and effort that you are willing to put forth into it. So remember to keep that im mind if you are trying to gauge progress.

I started playing guitar at 14-15 im not sure. I am 18 now.
