I'm in the process of composing a new song with a friend and we need some ideas for the melody and the end. So for those who play good guitar, HALP!

Here's the song so far:

The music player is in the top right corner.

Is the melody you're speaking of the tapping part towards the end?

Also that one part at 1:50 with the chords - I felt it took away from the intensity of the song. (imo)

No I need a melody, the tapping is just the beginning of the solo (not done with it yet). When I say melody I mean something to fit lyrics on.

As for the softer part, I dunno, it felt like a good pre-solo. I listen mainly to power metal, etc, and I like how they go from heavy to soft while still sounding good.

Ohhh okay I feel ya.

It wasn't the soft part that I didn't like it was just those 3 or 4 chords RIGHT before the tapping part.

I learned music all wrong :( If you can read tabs, here:

--------------------------------
--------------------------------
--------------------------------
-2-7---------------------------
-2-7---------------------------
-0-5---------------------------

These are the two chords I use with distortion during the soft part.

I slide from 3rd fret to 5th on the chords right before the solo.

Haha all good man, theory is just a pain in the ass anyways if you can play
and do it without theory you're doing fine ahaha so no worries.

Is it in E standard tuning? (Don't have a guitar with me right now)

Could you PM me a link to download the song cause it's hard to play it back on lastfm cause you can't
"seek" on there. I have to wait 1:50 to get to it hahah.
