Yeah, there is a quality, avoid strings like boomers etc, I'd go with some Ernie ball strings they're amazing if you want some sweet tone and heavy sound.

Worst advice ever.

They are cheap. You get what you pay for, so be prepared for easy snaps and slipping. Also easy gunk build-up.

I personally like DR's. Some prefer d'addario (my second choice).

And the buzzing is more likely that your action (bridge height) is too low. I'd suggest going to a local music shop and getting them raised to the right level, as I don't think you're ready to do a fix like that by yourself.

yea, but eventually you're going to want to learn how to do fixes yourself. If you get in good with guitar repairers, maybe they'll let you watch them fix your shit, and then you'll learn.

Although most basic guitar maintenance is very simple. Like yesterday on my strat I did a truss rod adjustment to preemptively stop a bow in my neck. Also fixed my bridge that wasn't laying flat.

All simple fixes.

You have this completely backwards

GHS boomers are very high quality and ernie balls are absolutely garbage.
