its a pretty nice solo but ive heard alot better
well, ones that I like better

A lot of these heavy metal solos are very difficult to play and fast... but they lack soul imo

It's more random shred and arpeggios that are the exact melody of the song, very unoriginal imo

This is my favourite solo of all time, fits so well with the song. Legendary guitarist. Truly a god of the guitar

i didnt think anyone else on here would like wintersun, they are unreal.

i also love death and the healing's guitar solo.

That arguement is pretty invalid.

One can easily say that those that have "soul" are just untalented musicians that hold notes and call it feeling and creativity when its lack of skill.
I would say in terms of accomplishment the shred/neo-classical musicians are better because they have taken playing to a higher level than the "soul players".

You wouldnt say Paganini's caprices are soulless in comparison to twinkle twinkle little star.

Besides the fact there is plenty of soul in metal/shred/fast solos. Gilbert, Vai, Gus G., Jari, Michael Romeo, Shawn Lane and the list goes on
