I'm a beginner.. I've been playing acoustic for a little while, I suck, but I really want to get an electric one.

I'm not sure about what I need.. all I know is I need the guitar + amp.

I just wanted to know if you guys had suggestions on a decent guitar to start with, I'm not looking to spend more than about $300-$400 on everything I need.

I just want to get a dependable guitar that will be easy to learn with, and that will last me quite a while..

thanks ^_^

Gretsch? Eh...no, not if he's going to play anything that's heavier than blues.

/E: Unless you wanna sound like Fall out boy LOL

and your also gonna need to buy a tuner
and also one of those Jim Dunlop twisty lil handle things used to string/unstring your guitar

the end of it fits onto your tuner handles and its got a handle that spins
almost every guitar store has them at the counter usually
and no i dont have a model for ya
but what i would do is go to a guitar store they out as many guitars as possible
and just buy it
or look it up on eebay if its a lil too expensive and you could get it for cheaper
a good beginner amp may be Fender or Peavey or maybe a lil Behringer
and just get any chord that looks good
except try to get a strong chord
