my main guitar is a jackson d2km dinky

and i put in 2 dimarzio x2n pickups

because, one they look really cool, escpecially in this guitar, and they have a really good sound

i wired one series and one parrallel, i cant remeber which was which, but the bridge pick ups give good harmonics
and the neck pickups i use for playing in clean setting because i get a really full non-trembel/nice-bass sound

any of you guys like jacksons? ive tried ibanez at guitar center, and i think i prefer the jackson

I do indeed like Jacksons, good quality guitars for their money. Ibanez really screws you on their lower end guitars.

Gotta agree. You can tell with Ibanez when they've done a half-arsed job, but not with Jackson.

I like em!

Jacksons are overall nice guitars for their money. Crazy as this sounds some of the best guitars I have played for metal were actually modified fender's. atm I am playing a fender deluxe strat, single emg 81 active, reverse seventies headstock, locking nut, licensed floyd rose tremelo. All black, maple fretboard. Honestly one of the most badass sounding guitars I have played, I basically put the bitch together from pieces from warmoth and eebay, and an old fender I had had.

the thing i dislike about fenders is, the front plate is the only acess so u gotta take the strings off to do anything with it, and im not a big fan of single coils

if fender was a guy, i'd totally suck his dick. i still appreciate other guitars, but i can't see myself owning anything besides a fender. i'm just real intrigued by the versatility of strats, and my tele is just like an added bonus. i have a sweet 80's bc rich too that seriously rips.

Strats have incredibly smooth necks, which makes it easy to do the intricate stuff for heavier types of metal. I was actually thinking about building a custom one myself, but I haven't the time or money as of late to start a " frankenstein guitar " project.

Me either. Thin tone = epic do not want. Which is why you rip them out, sell them on eebay, and put some duncans in there.
