Instead of a trot using 3 fingers, use 4.

It is kind of hard to get use to but it sounds nice and really helps you to play alot of heavy fast metal song with your fingers.

Anywho, just thought I would throw that out there... try it out

I find it insanely useful when I try to learn metal songs with my fingers... currently trying to tackle the song Wind of Horus - Nile.

I never could get into Nile.... all my friends love them though....

There songs are fun as hell to play though

I have finally become good enough to attempt some of there songs :]

Same for me, but they're are extremely talented.

ugh there scales are so hard to play as fast as they play them, my fingers are burning...

Then just reverse that.

If its in standard, I'm pretty sure its just a simple E Minor scale.

Thanks for helping me out though, i think that will help me speed it up some, that is pretty much the last part to that song that i am trying to get down.

I actually find the ascension easier on one string when I'm playing a short run like that, what song is it from?
