Wooded Guitar?
do you mean Acoustic?

well anyways Imo i think electric guitar is easier because of the strings, and Frets, but it will require a Amplifier to sound better.

although cheap accoustic guitars are garbage, electric guitar = shitty to start with. your technique will be screwed unless you take classes. a 200-300$ accoustic nylon is best to start imo icon_pointl.gif- i teach HS and college students ^^

Easier: Electric

But in the end, if you start with an Acoustic and master it, you will be a beast on electric as well.
You'll probably end up better if you start w/ Acoustic.

vouch this. i started on electric and thought i was the best ever (was pretty good lead guitarist). switched to acoustic and found that all the hammer-on pull-off tricks from electric did not transfer to acoustic so i learned serious right hand technique. now i feel much more versatile on electric. most riffs previously done as hammer-on/pull-offs sound much better to me when picked all the way through.
