you know who they are. they say they ''play'' guitar when really they suck, they think there cool. gets on my tits, ruins guitar for everyone.

How so? Yeah, they're annoying, but I don't see how it ruins it for anyone else.

If you have "skills", you shouldn't be a target of those stereotypes.

If you truly enjoy guitar and want to put real effort into it and play for a living, what other people think should not be a hindrace.

what annoys me is guitar hero.

ive been playing guitar off and on for 9 years (im 20)

alot of kids think they can play guitar because they can pllay run to the hills on expert SFW!!!

Guitar shouldnt be a statussymbol.

You should play for the fun of it, and because it makes you feel good, rather than using it for getting an image

Heh... I play guitar and I do not consider myself that good at it. Of course I try my best to play it whenever I can and improve, but the thing is, I do not go around and yell 'I play guitar'.

If the subject of instruments comes around, sure I will say that I play guitar, although I will precise that I'm still a newbie at it and hoping to improve at it.

I play Guitar Hero all the time and I guaran-fucking-tee you I'm better at real guitar then you.
