I have relative pitch to one note/key, can't figure out chords and stuff. Is it possible to develop my relative pitch into perfect pitch or develop it at all? I want to be able to hear a song and eventually play it make sheet music etc instead of looking all over the internetz for some sheet music smile.gif

My teacher can.
He is doing that with a song he is going to teach me... so if he can do it...
Why can't you!?
Just keep working hard bud.

yes you can do this. takes more work for some than others, but if you can hear a song on the radio and hum the melody in key then you are already there. ofc you might need to get more comfortable with your guitar playing next. gl!

Well, as far as i know you dont develop PEFECT pitch. You can train your ear and have really really good pitch. But perfect pitch is something that certain people have, it is a trait very closely associated with the idiot savant gene.

Just keep practicing.
