Always have been a big fan of both bands, I think I'm more of a Yes fan though. Better vocals, more in depth music etc. Crediting to that is the fact that the have more members than rush, although I love Pearts drumming. Would like to hear from the rest of you.

I have to say Rush because I originally got into prog from the heavier end of the spectrum. Even now I prefer at least some degree of heaviness in prog rock. And I know it would make some prog fans cringe but I tend to like the bands who are more melodic/mainstream/crossover and my taste skews towards the newer (80's and beyond) stuff with higher production value than the 70's.
