I need to write a synthesis essay and I want to know some songs that fit under any of these topics, they're obviously quite common but I just need some songs OR a poem.
-Songs reminiscing about the glory days or about people who are still living in the past, and can't move on. ANY SONG EXCEPT BRUCE SPRINGSTEENS GLORY DAYS
-Parents who force their kids into something that they aren't, and the kids will never live up to their parents expectations
-Songs about teachers or a teacher that changed their life in a positive way
I think there are more topics but those are the ones I think we have to write about. I'll give anyone atleast 30 fg or more if I like the song and or end up using it :)!
Oh and any genre is fine

Never asked for anyone do the homework or essay itself, just a simple song recommendation. It's fine though, I found a song.

T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" would work for "living in the past / can't move on." Basically it's about about an old man reflecting on the decisions he made in his life and how he was always too stubborn or afraid to pursue what he wanted.
Also, Frank Turner's "I Knew Prufrock Before He Was Famous" loosely refers to that poem and feels very nostalgic.
