I haven't heard a lot of the releases and I agree with a lot of what they included but feel like they overrated the shit out of a few albums, namely Vampire Weekend's new one and that Disclosure album.

I'll be releasing my own top 10 or 15 list around New Year's.

I like how a few of them has waxahatchees record in the top 10 as it's probably my aoty, as for the list in general I think alot of crap places way too high

Daft punk, kanye, vampire weekend, cvrches etc all really bad

It's p4k tho so shouldnt expect too much

well, i dont know all of them, but if you can only name one album out of 50 thats not pop, then im basically right. at the very least, theres no metal. wintersun - time totally deserves to be in there.

Haven't heard most of these but not it's not very good list imo, didn't care for The National and tried to listen to Vampire weekend and Chvrches couple of times but realized it's not my thing

I won't deny that quite a bit of the list is pop, but the rebuttal album that Kamahl mentioned (Sunbather) is metal.

Left a lot off because I feel they were more poppy than not poppy and a lot of the list I've never even heard of lol.

I will say they neglected the shit out of metal releases for this year, lots of good ones that probably weren't even considered :/.
