I have already made a thread some months ago and it worked pretty well, I have discovered a lot of good albums thanks to you guys, so here I am again making a new one.

I'm searching for some great albums to listen & discover for every genres.

When you're gonna post your suggestion, feel free to put 3 stars (***) next to it if the album has almost only good tracks, 2 stars (**) if it has only 1/4 good tracks and 1 star (*) if it has only 1 or 2 good tracks ( shouldn't post tho ).

Thanks!

you ratings seem a bit odd as an album with 1/4 good songs isn't really that good an album just has several good tracks on it imo, anyway all should be 3*

some of my favourite albums, mostly edm hip-hop at the end

mylo - destroy rock & roll
daft punk - discovery
hybrid - wide angle
high contrast - tough guys don't dance
c2c - tetra
pryda - eric prydz presents pryda
jaytech - everything is ok
LTJ Bukem - Journey Inwards
rokysopp - melody am
dj shadow - entroducing
blackalicious - blazing arrow
deltron - 3030

old stuff:
fleetwood mac - rumors
dire straits - dire straits
the beatles - sgt peppers

Well, it's relative, an album can be good with only 1/4 of really outstanding songs and rest being decent. But let's not discuss that.

Concerning great albums, it is not about the individual tracks but collective art as a whole.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (Swampy Shoegaze)
Slint - Spiderland (Primitive Post-Rock "Apocalyptic")
Modest Mouse - Lonesome Crowded West (Nostalgic Americana Indie Punk)
Built to Spill - Perfect from Now On (Oozy Guitar and foggy-like memories)
Palace Music - Viva Last Blues (Dark, paranoia, lost love, a hillbilly with an amp)

These are a few of my favorite albums from the 90s.

I don't frankly know what you like or don't, but I suggested this album to Kalmah and he's a believer now

Mad Shadows - Heavy Blues ( * * * * * )

5 stars coz I think it's a fantastic classic rock album with a 70s vibe, recorded 2013 B)

Can't remeber what albums I posted in last thread so doubles may appear.

Looking forward to contributions from OP by the way, if I recall correctly your taste is pretty good

Änglagård - Hybris

Progressive Rock got a major revival in Sweden during the 90's, this album among with Anekdotens - Vemod is the best to come out of that decade from sweden

Fraction - Moon Blood

Superb 70's Psychadelic Rock, as trippy as it gets

Magic Sam - West Side Soul

Essential Electric Blues album, everyone should hear this

Radi*möbel - Tr*mseböx

Ultraobscure Swedish private Psychadelic Rock, one of my favorite swedish 70's albums

Eh, I stopped going to /mu/ some time ago, I expired its usefulness. The albums I posted are mostly classics that anyone with a passing interest in music should know.
