I bought a pair of them... they sound okay if you listen to hip-hop or techno.. but if you listen to Metal, they sound like shit.

This

it depends what you're into
they're heavy bass'd and sound good mainly for rap and electronic music

Seinheissers, audio technica, klipsch.

These are just three off the top of my head that are better overall, not even just for the price. Look into them. Beats are generally overrated and are a fashion accessory at best if you're not listening to #weezyfbabi

Audiophiles will beg to differ but my non-robot ears are happy with Beats Studios that I have; the frequency response, the mid-range, the highs, whatever. I listen to just about everything, hip-hop old and new, dubstep, metal of all sorts, jazz, so on and so forth. Never really had any complaints.

Now, more importantly, I got these as a gift from my dad. If I had $350 to spent I would've opted for Audio Technicas, Sennheisers, AKG, etc.

Edit: The only true complaint I have aside from the price is the noise leakage, definitely not library headphones and even on an airplane you get the sense that your peers are being forced to hear what you're playing.

they arent worth the price. people are saying they are good, yea theyre good. but if youre spending your own money, or even getting a gift, you could put the money towards better headphones for the price or get cheaper ones that are as good.
