It appears to be true. This isn't really a bad thing as people tend to play in the same genre as their influences. As far as the looks, I listened to a little bit of Aiden like 7 years ago (just a few songs), and the image seemed to be the same then too.

Not to bring up genres, but Aiden is more punk/rock.

This band isn't "emo." You're mistaking the bands fashion image for a popular trend of emotional lyrics... A genre label that shouldn't have ever existed given that the majority of music has some level of emotion.



You're naive to believe that a bands image is a direct relationship to the genre they play. While there are certainly coincidental trends, it's not set in stone. A bands image reflects their personalities which in return, is brought out by their music and lyrics.

i wasnt basing on image, i was basing on the lyris, which were something about cutting. sounds pretty emo to me...
