Friend of mine wrote this, he says rap doesn't need to be about killin' niggahs and hittin' bitches. I don't like rap so I couldn't give him any honest feedback. I was hoping you guys could. The guy is an environmentalist and writes his music about such issues. He'd appreciate any feedback.

Its to thoughtful... people who like rap only like hook lines and retarded shit that they can listen to over and over and over again.
This song would get boring after 3 or 4 listens.
It sounds like every other wannabe white rapper... tbh, there's nothing special about this.

Environment rap just doesn't seem like it would work.

I don't listen to rap so I'm not gonna comment on the composition or rapping or whatever. However, I will say that it could seriously use some mixing. The beat sounds pretty thin and weak and it's too dry. And honestly, I don't see why you couldn't make environmental rap. It's not my thing but I'm sure somebody would dig it even if it's small audience. You don't need a massive consumer culture to back you up to confirm that you make good music. If it's his thing I say go for it but he should work on his mixes for sure or just hire somebody to mix it. It needs to be fuller, more engaging. That's why I think everybody think it sounds boring, the music is thin and small but you could beef it up with a solid mix, the content is there, now it needs to be polished.
