I'm mainly looking for music that's newer-ish. I'm kind of getting tired of the 90's alternative sound, and don't really want pre-90's suggestions (not because I don't like older music, but because I feel like I have enough of that). Might also be worth mentioning I'm not a big fan of techno/electronic/dubstep stuff, rap, or pop.

So if you have any suggestions, thanks.

i used to listen to most of those bands. more recently ive been listening to electronic music and sometimes i go back and listen to the list u have. if ur interested try artists like:
emancipator
big gigantic
cloud cult
infected mushrooms
matt zo
rjd2

Queens of the stone age

Cloud Cult and RJD2 don't belong in that bad list.

Those are bands on my list of what to listen to. I get some bands, listen to the music, and decide if I want to keep it or not. Haven't gotten around to Nickelback, Linkin Park, or Counting Crows.
