Here is my old thread XD I didn't even know you couldn't post in a thread if it's been inactive for over 3 months...So...Here I am with a repost because I recently released my third mixtape to datpiff and got over 1600 views on the first day.
Not because it's any good, I'm sure. XD I'm not really sure why it's had so many views, honestly. but I wanted some feedback from people who aren't strictly my friends and don't wanna make me feel bad about how off-beat I am in some of my new songs and whatnot.

I will reiterate here, however, any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated, I take anything helpful seriously, anything retarded with a grain of salt.I've heard a lot of "It sounds nasally," and such in the past, so I attempted to work a little on it when I could, but seeing as I usually record in the winter..I always seem to have a cold.

Not sure how tolerant the forums here are to rap, but in case anyone is here to flame a "white rapper", here is my history, skip it if you don't give two shits.
I began in 9th Grade writing, and it was a joke with my friends, thus the name "Icepick", also originated as a joke.
In 10th grade a couple friends pushed me to write again, and I did, because I began to really get into the genre.
I like the beats, and the lyricism that was potent in the early 2000s.
I released a solo produced, solo marketed album in my high school my senior year and sold it to people for $5.
I got a lot of positive feedback, pushing me to make a Youtube account and a Facebook/Myspace page.
I am in the midst of making a second solo produced album, and am aiming to release sometime within the next couple months.
My skills with Audacity have improved greatly from the first CD, and my rhymes/lyrics have more meaning that I've drawn from real life.
My old CD is not uploaded in full anywhere, but my Myspace has my older stuff on it as I haven't updated it in awhile
Anyway, my raps are done for mostly for fun, for my friends, I'm fromCincinnati (Yeah, our sports teams blow. I don't watch them), and you can see that influence in some of my raps.
I've covered some songs, and done my own lyrics to the popular Black and yellow by Wiz Khalifa
My raps are mostly about made up shit, because I came from a nice neighborhood, lead a good life, up until about the last year when shit started hitting the fan with college, my now ex girlfriend, etc.
So it has given my inspiration and meaning behind my lyrics.
But I also keep it light in most of my raps.Anyway, check it out, any feedback on my FB wall, or posted here, is SUPER appreciated.Open to all constructive criticism, especially helpful ideas for audacity, and stupid flaming remarks will be tossed to the side with a grain of salt. I've heard it all trying to come up, but I think white rappers are more accepted now.
I think it's worth mentioning this has all been recorded on a $6 computer mic as well, not a nice studio mic.Anyway, on with the goods.
