I was reading the Wiki entry for "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and I saw a line that left me totally baffled. Here it is:

Quote
Grieg himself wrote: "For the Hall of the Mountain King I have written something that so reeks of cowpats, ultra-Norwegianism, and 'to-thyself-be-enough-ness' that I can't bear to hear it, though I hope that the irony will make itself felt."

Does anyone have any idea what his explanation means? "'to-thyself-be-enough-ness" means absolutely nothing to me.

thanks
