As much as i like Anthrax Slayer is easy number1 but metallica vs megadeth cant really decide.

Never ceases to amaze me how every thrash metal related thread here has some idiot calling it trash metal.

Also, just because they are more melodic than generic thrash metal doesn't mean they arent thrash metal. Especially both artists' early material.

Slayer is cool too. Metallica I just can't stand anymore, not even their old stuff. The vocals just make me want to die, they're so bad.

However, the others have done excellent things for Thrash. I used to say "Anthrax don't deserve the list, Testament should replace them" but nowadays, gotta say that Metallica dropped the bar while all 4 of the others raised it. I say all 4, 3 of them raised it, Slayer remained Slayer and thats that.
