i thought most dead heads had open minds about music .. and all the hippies and dead heads (or should i say land pirates) i ever met only like shitty dubstep so thats probably all you've been exposed to. . only shit tearout dubstep comes to festivals which to me never made sense because the true dubstep has much more atmosphere , is nice and dark, and is meditative.

think what you want ,but saying it's a disgrace to music is HIGHLY ignorant and laughable. one of the largest scenes still trying to keep vinyl alive, that should atleast be appreciated my music lovers of all sorts.

I'd rather hear the dead personally, dubstep has no appeal to me. To each his own though.

I have an open mind. It is def a disgrace imo. But hey i never said it had to be your opinion. Im actually glad you posted. It was the point of this thread. To discuss. And i am very open minded and i have seen all kind of dubstep bro. i have been to 3 dubstep festies and i have a significant number of friends who listen to dubstep. trust me i have heard wat you would prolly call "good" dubstep and yet im still just not impressed. Maybe calling it a disgrace was TO far. And its also HIGHLY ignorant and laughable to stereotype.

how is it a disgrace ? what about it makes it a disgrace to music ? that you had to call it out as a genre ? minimal music thats bass and percussion driven with generally dark moods is just another form of music what is disgraceful about it ?
the pop bullshits bout to die off anyway / semi did lotta events are slowing down on the east coast
and what dubstep festies have you been to? theres none really that are good in the US on a large scale besides one SMOG puts on in LA .. dun no if you're from the UK but i highly doubt it.

trust me, i hate bad dubstep. as a fan of dubstep im constantly getting bashed about the genre but its the same shit i hate that people bash .. as cyrus once stated we're not eltist's we're just passionate.
and sorry for calling you a land pirate ..

and a handful of dubstep show down here becuase i honestly tried to get into it. Just can not. No im not from the UK but i have a hard time beleiveing the dubstep out there is that much different from the dubstep down here. Either way.

I think its funny how your so bent outta shape over me saying its a disgrace. if someone says grateful dead is a disgrace on the next post, ill just laugh :)

UK events and US events are TOTALLY different. you wanted a discussion then you say you think its funny i get bent out of shape ? if i just ignored it there would be no discussion... watch this video .

dubwars / reconstrvct have been much different than 90+% of any dubstep event ive been to and i go to them a lot .. they are one of the events on the east coast that trys to push the roots influenced sounds. if you go see joe nice and dont enjoy it at all, then yes, you will not ever enjoy dubstep .
