Well, my skullcandies broke after about 4 years of use and it's time to get some high-quality headphones.

I'm leaning towards beats because they're stylish and all that good shit, but i know they're not the best quality and you pay for a brand name.

Which kind of headphones would yall suggest? Reasonably priced would be a big bonus.

audiotechnica ATH-m50

but really I'd have to know what you're looking for. The aforementioned have good sound isolation, noise cancelling, and a neutral response (they're studio headphones).

If you want open-backed, then I'd recommend Beyerdynamic DT-880s. A little bright, but their mids are glorious. They also have velour pads which are nice and comfy, but they can get a little warm.

audiotechnica ATH-m50 are studio monitering headphones. If you are just in for listening pleasure those would not be a good purchase. I have a pair myself for when im producing mobile on my laptop.

If your just after some loud bass try and get one with a sub subwoofer built in. Some cheap ass skullcandy's sound decent enough and are eq'd to shit to sound better. look into those

beats are okay if you really want tons of bass. there was too much for me, and i didn't particularly enjoy the tone of the bass when i heard it.

I'd recommend Beyerdynamic DT-770s though.

Do a little research on impedance before purchasing though if you're interested. They come in various amounts of resistance (in ohms), and if it's too high for your player, the sound quality will suffer/become inaudible.

Clueless. Beats are not ok, the only things beats have is muddy bass, not even that much much bass at all...

If you want a headphone with even more bass than Beats, while having pretty decent mids and highs

get the audio technicas pro700mk2's

you're paying an extra 200 for flimsy plastic when you're buying beats
