I have to find songs that the 3rd Estate [French Revolution] could have used anthems of freedom and justice or battle/rallying cries against the inequalities and oppression of the Old Regime.

I need a minimum of 6 and these are the ones I chose and why.

How did I do?

Eminem - Lose Yourself
Eminem - Not Afraid
Kid Cudi - Pursuit Of Happiness
Kid Cudi - Heart Of A Lion
Lupe Fiasco - Streets On Fire
DJ Khaled - We Takin' Over
Talib Kweli - Eat To Live
Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger

If you want my reasoning on any of them feel free to ask.

I know as much about the French Revolution as I do about Biological Science advancements (nothing).
There's a couple of these tracks I have personal bias against, simply because I just... don't like them, for whatever reason. We Takin' Over for example. Not a fan and I feel like while the message presented was meant to be serious and influential, it came across as childishly angsty and half-assed. That's just my opinion.
Being an old fan of Eminem, I would have to recommend Mosh since you seem to like him as well. Only Mosh was pointed directly at president Bush, so it might be a little difficult to steer it for any project about the French Revolution. It is about rising to meet inequalities and oppression brought on by government though.

I was acutally a fan a Bush so I can't do that Eminem song.

But do you think the songs I have now could pass as anthems for freedom and justice and war cries?

Well it's been a long time since of listened to half of these, and the other half I haven't heard.
Lose Yourself - I don't think so, not without explanation.
Not Afraid - Probably
Kid Cudi - I haven't listened to.
Streets On Fire - Haven't listened to. I was into some of Lupe's earlier stuff until he went mainstream and then I lost interest.
And then the other to I haven't heard either.

My thoughts are useless here. (_ _ )

well I dont just hand the song in... i have to explain them

so for lose yourself I would say its about the 3rd estate standing up to the 1st and 2nd estates... it could be a song for them... when you attack the bastille dont have any second thoughts... go for it... its your only shot

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I figured this was an assignment of some sorts but I wasn't sure.
Honestly with how subjective music is, you could probably hand anything in and receive an A, and if you didn't you could fight for one. Even if the song was blatantly not about revolution and couldn't be compared to revolution in any way, if you're good enough with words, you can make up a bunch of bullshit about how the third bridge is a revolution in it's own because of the strength in the rhythm change.
You'll be fine.
