Metal - I love metal because metal has a depth to it's content that no other genre can express. The depth and imagery that metal creates is quite encapsulating. The sound of the guitars help the process to enrapture oneself in the music.

Dubstep (not brostep) - I love true dubstep because of it's rhythm and flow, as well as an ability for the content to express itself succinctly and clearly. Also the sound again is quite captivating so it is easy to lose yourself in the sound and the flow.

Old school hip hop - I like old school hip hop because some of it was truly poetry. You couldn't just listen to a song once and get the message. That along with it's natural and charismatic flow makes it almost an almost difficult and advanced version of poetry.

I love everything for it's variance in style, flavour, structure and composition.

Metal - Because it can calm me down or amp me up... i like the vocals and drums and guitars, with all the different sounds and the chaos of it, its not only chaos but its finely orchestrated chaos. The sounds and expressions of how a thought can be expressed through a song baffles me and keeps me coming back for more. No other kind of music can hold my imagination and attchen like metal can... there arint many things in life that i can say i actually love, but metal is something i can say i actually love it and couldnt live without it...

I like metal because of the heart and brutality in harmony. It allows me to release my inner rage in a way safe for me and everyone around me. I also a good way to exercise

I like music cus sounds good.

folk- it seems so personal and maybe even a bit lonely at times, like a person sitting in a clearing just singing
chamber pop- the blend of different instruments or the standout sound of individual instruments, regardless the dimension is both awe-inspiring and profoundly melodic
modern classical/classical piano- I feel like sometimes there's a simplicity, or a complexity that really captures any specific feeling, a minimalist modern classical piece can convey this odd sadness
indie music(the genre of rock.pop)-this is a pretty loose genre, in my opinion, many of these artists are different from each other, some are similar, I think I just like how they try to do their own thing
anti-folk- well I only really listen to Regina Spektor in this genre, but she's really quirky and original, and her lyrics are just so creative, she plays with sounds
art pop- all art pop artists (wow that sounded weird), are usually pretty unique and they aim for a specific niche (I'm a part of that niche)
shoegaze/dream pop- it's like a dream, sometimes it feels warm and fuzzy, sometimes it feels kind of like drowning in a sea of sound, but in any case it's very atmospheric

indie - i hate the crowd and indie hipster fucks, but the calmness, creativity, strength, and stability of the music truly amazes me. finding a new indie band is pretty exciting. sitting down on a rainy day, drinking coffee, doing homework, listening to some tegan and sara or some shit.... just unbeatable. it gives me good vibes, and it's catchy.
hardcore - the music, THE MOVEMENT. i'm inspired by the messages that some bands put out through their songs. i'm not straightedge but im inspired by people who are truly into it and wouldn't think about breaking their edge, but i hate people who get a shitload of xxx tattoos on their face and shit just to prove a point. you're ruining the entire message. probably the shows is what really gets me. the closeness of every single attendee at a hardcore show. it's like a little family. lots of respect. one day i'll get more into it.
pop-punk - kind of mix of 2 explanations above + how truly happy this music makes me. so upbeat.

Everything I like gives me euphoria, that's why i like it. I'm a music junkie.
