While some people may understand Metal as noise, complete utter thrashy sound, and so on; it can actually be very beautiful.
Some bands has the capability to conjure the most beautiful sounds in music.
This thread wil mostly be to show people, what metal(bands) are capable of! There will be music for every taste, whether you are into classical, rock, dubstep or many other genres!

Because my music taste is so alternative, i think i will start this thread off, with an ending of an album:

Heretoir - Hidden Track (In a sense, it is the ending of the song Weltenwandler) - From the EP .Existenz.
An outro, made solely on piano. Actually, Heretoir is a depressive black metal band.

Hope you all will enjoy my thread. If anyone wants links to where to buy any albums, i will happily send a link.

Feel free to post any opinions on the music, i will be happy to see opinions. Thank you.

Alcest - Circe Poisoning the Sea

A melancholic piece of shoegaze/post-metal. A really soothing type of vocals (actually his (Neige) way of humming).

From the split LP/CD of Alcest and Les Discrets. Hard to get for cheap, but you can buy it for 30 euros right now (CD).

Thy Light - Suici.De.Pression

An intro to a great depressive black metal demo album, played on piano. From the demo Suici.De.Pression.

Ethereal Beauty - The Sun Shines Tomorrow

A great post-rock instrumental band. From the album The World Comes to an End, in the End of a Journey a compilation of various artists, from the same genre.

Hypothermia - Svenskt Vemod

Low production, so it is not good sound quality (and it's Youtube, so who expects anything?). It is an acoustic, instrumental inspired piece of slow, soothing music (though the band - especially the frontman - usually resides in depressive black metal/rock).

Araxas - A New Morning, from the album Umarmung Des Nebels. The outro of the album, a nice soothing piano melody. Araxas is actually a Depressive Black Metal band.

Thanks a lot! I will let you know when this one will be locked (time limit). Someone who knows those 3 bands, and likes them = great music taste already! And your username is win. Swedish for "blacker/darker metal(lic)?

Xasthur - Walker of Dissonant Worlds

From the album To Violate the Oblivious . Quite easy to obtain.

Quite low sound-quality, but for me it makes it sound much more atmospheric. Sorrowful, but still beautiful. A guitar instrumental, of (in my opinion) high quality!
First video here, with official footage, from the man himself (Scott "Malefic" Connor).

Shining - Through Corridors of Oppression

Heavy music, can also be beautifully sad. The heavy layer of distorted guitar, the drums with their heavy, slow rhythm, the light pianos dissonant floating tones... A great song, with a lot of passion.
