Anyone ever hear of this stuff? You have to use a headset. Apparently if you turn the volume up and concentrate on it, it can have some effect on your brainwave and get you high. Interesting stuff. Apparently two different frequencies are played on the sides of your headset and the difference in their frequencies creates something called a binaural beat. You can read up more on it on wikipedia.

Here's an example I found on youtube:
For a quick listen, just go to 6:40 in the video, close the lights and your eyes, and concentrate for about 30 seconds.

I wouldn't call it a high, or anything related to any kind of intoxication. By this I mean that the method of action isn't similar to a high, not that the effects aren't. The effects are somewhat similar to a class of hallucinogens known as Deliriants,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deliriant

Drugs like DPH and Datura are very similar to the effects of long term sensory deprivation in many cases.

Listening to white noise over extended periods of time, especially in situations where you limit or completely deprive yourself of your other senses, can do some weird shit though.

If you find it interesting, I suggest watching :

Sensory Deprivation isn't anything new, and is pretty well documented in its effects, although they are poorly understood. When you cut everything else out, and leave only the conscious, strange things happen to the person. People report being unaware of their physical body, inner voices, entities, that sort of thing. As for just the frequencies in the video, they don't do anything special. The important part is the "Turn off your lights, close your eyes, lay down and listen to this on headphones" part that causes you to have these effects.

Well I'm no scientist but some interesting articles to read are:

Its not the same as sensory deprivation... though im watching that documentary right now and its fucking awesome & also creepy.

Binaural beats actually change your brainwaves to enter different states of consciousness

Sure it is. Sensory Deprivation covers a wide range of things, including listening to certain frequencies and sounds, typically white noise, in complete darkness.
