People really toss around the word hipster A LOT these days. I was just called a hipster by my friend for installing arch linux on my laptop. Sometimes I just want to go on a murder spree I hate society so damn much.
I wouldnt hurt a fly though.
yea .. im from philly , what many people consider the hipster capital of the country with all their art institutes etc .. and all the hipsters deff dont like dubstep..they liek shit thats way more obscure and hard to define in a genre and like crappy 80s soudning rock and shit like crystal castles
and skrillex and deadmau5 has been mainstream since the begining. .skrillex isnt even really dubstep (he has like a few songs that are around 140 bpm , nothing is ever half step and theres no dub vibes left), tunnidge cyrus and darkside all said they consider him electro pop and not dubstep.and if anybody can speak on definitions of dubstep, tunnidge and cyrus have been producing since the early days of dubstep and are considered to be part of the movement from garage 2 step to dubstep so i think theyre more qualified than most. america has a very bad understanding of dubstep and everybody seems to have trouble understanding the true original sound of dubstep and that theres tons of dubstep outside of the midrange LFO synths. tons of quality dubstep out there.
