This thread is dedicated to the music that I listen to. Im sure most people wont care, but Im sure a few people will find music they like that they've never heard before.

It might seem a bit random, but whatever, Im going to do me, you know?

Please keep the spam to a minimum, I would like to keep this going for awhile.

My first entry:

Lyrics:

If I had a time machine that was built with a flux capacitor
I would go back to the rappers the media massacred
Back to the first time Pac was blasted in Manhattan
I would prove it wasn't Biggie so that beef would never happen
Hop to the present, get the president in my presence
Shake his hand, then send him back to the Great Depression
To hit a bar with FDR for a second
And together they could assess an effective way to address the recession
I stay stressin,' lookin' for work here
Havin' flashbacks of a frat bash from my first year
I wanna talk to little Jeremy the college kid
Take his resume to polish it, and get a scholarship
Have a couple of shots with him after he promises
That he acknowledges the clock on the wall and he knows what time it is
'Cause the problem is the single lesson I neglected
Is that minutes turn to seconds faster than you would expect it

But if I could go back, I don't think I'd go back
I wouldn't wanna change things, I would do the same thing
I would just embrace things, I would just embrace things
I would embrace them the way they are
I said, but if I could go back, I don't think I'd go back
I wouldn't wanna change things, I would do the same thing
I would just embrace things, I would just embrace things
I would embrace them the way they are

If I had a time machine that was built with a flux capacitor
I would travel to Africa with a pack of ambassadors
Way before this crazy war erupted in Sudan
So my man Aleer would never have to flee his homeland
Then I'd stop in Germany, hop on Operation Valkyrie
Watchin' Hitler talk to a crowd atop of a balcony
But at the first announcement, I'm sneakin' around the bouncer
With a pouch of cyanide to pour inside his Alka Seltzer
Yo if I could time travel, I'd be goin' right back
To that battle in that parkin' lot where I got sliced at
Convince homeboy to put his knife back
So my left cheek wouldn't permanently have a white slash
And I know that I'm getting older
When the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder
I get reminded of that fateful evening in October
When my girl called me up on the phone and said it was over
If I did it all again, I woulda been a little bolder
There are things I shoulda said and I regret I never told her
So I drink away the pain but I'm afraid of being sober
'Cause I know that I'ma wake up all alone and wanna hold her

But if I could go back, I don't think I'd go back
I wouldn't wanna change things, I would do the same thing
I would just embrace things, I would just embrace things
I would embrace them the way they are
I said, but if I could go back, I don't think I'd go back
I wouldn't wanna change things, I would do the same thing
I would just embrace things, I would just embrace things
I would embrace them the way they are

If I had a time machine that was built with a flux capacitor
I would actually sell it back to its manufacturer
Matter fact, go to the factory where it's packaged
And I'd smash every last flux capacitor to fragments
'Cause way before the butterfly effect happened to Ashton
Ray Bradbury practically labeled it black magic
The mathematical path to the aftermath
Rollin' snowballs yesterday and today you trapped in an avalanche
Why does everybody wanna change they stars?
Why don't they embrace them just the way they are?
And just play they cards? Laugh in the face of the demons
Haven't you ever been told that everything happens for a reason?
If his woman didn't leave him, and give him all of that pain
Yo would he have ever written the chorus to "Airplanes"?
He was stranded in the rain, at the verge of going frantic
When that Airplane crash-landed him in the Atlantic...
The butterfly effect…

But if I could go back, I don't think I'd go back
I wouldn't wanna change things, I would do the same thing
I would just embrace things, I would just embrace things
I would embrace them the way they are
I said, but if I could go back, I don't think I'd go back
I wouldn't wanna change things, I would do the same thing
I would just embrace things, I would just embrace things
I would embrace them the way they are

This is the song that got me into Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. Earl is an amazing rapper, and lyrically its out of control, but the rap content is not for everyone.

[Verse 1: Earl Sweatshirt]
So I'm guessin' there's questions that need addressin', huh?
Like how we fresh in our adolescence and wreckin' 'em
Hand'em tracks, he destined to make a mess of 'em
Snappin' necks and records in matter of seconds check 'em son
Lost an erection and found it in an aggressive nun
Fuckin' chin-checkin' punks 'til he's outta breath and done
No FX, in these doper than sess sessions son
Chillin' for a while on a pile of the rest of 'em
Let the crowd choose who can fuckin' last longer
It's the rap monger, rap monster Earl Sweat attack, conquer
Lose least, niggas lost like the last blanca chica
That we picked up at the last concert
Please, get out ya seat, get out ya seat, verses written with scalpels
He's the junior king standin' out shoutin' on the balcony
How come he's not in counselin'? Fucka's loud while he's sound asleep
Heard he was dope as Sour D, nigga was Courage cowardly?
Stay Gold, alchemy, nigga we rap's Alpha Team
Mr. Teen and Mr. T with a mouth full of powder
And a nose full of chowder, he's choppin' up all the doubters see
Now watch him count the bodies like bitches be countin' calories

[Verse 2: Tyler the Creator]
Fuck with the Wolves, we startin' to bark viciously
Catch us in a pile of bodies where dead bitches be
Box Logo hoodies and goodies from buddies that understand
That Bastard was buzzin' like Woody so we get it for free
Had to duct tape the mother goose the mask was off
I stumbled down a hill then I had Jill jack me off
Harder than my dick when Taylor Swift is in my basement
Cause I've been doin' this since Pooh fucked Christopher Robin, son
Wolf Gang knitted on my cotton like some smelly
Dirty rotten nigga picked it from a cotton gin
Do not give a fuck I've got the swagger of a virgin's dick
But if I did it would be bigger than Earl's upper lip
Sip sizzurp, Supreme on my shizzirt
I munch a bunch of tacos with Waverly's favorite wizard
The favorite nigger turned into Freddy Kruger
And this that raw shit, dead bodies chopped up in the sewer
From the palms of Jeffrey Dahmer, baby mamas said the kicks
Beat like the brown lip balm that was made for Rihanna
All you fuckin' bloggin' faggots yappin' up that extra shit
I'll shove Bastard down your throat, regurgitate my excrement
Them 2DopeBoyz is fairies they're Peter like boysenberries
Meet the scary, turn his white ass to a Jim Carrey twin
A fuckin' sausage fest will them shaky niggas get married then
2DopeBoyz don't want beef, they're just overweight vegetarians

Yet another first for me (Or at least second). This is one of my favorite atmosphere songs. Awesome beat, and epic story. LISTEN to the lyrics.

A city full of people and my favorite is that waitress
And she treats me like some type of common vagrant
I see her everyday, but there's nothing to say
Unless I decide to step inside of that cafe
I only get to sit if I buy something to eat
Otherwise it's best to keep my feet moving down that street
And god damn she's a hard bitch
Talks at me like I'm the bad dog that got into the garbage
Yeah I know that the toilet is for customers
You ain't got to tangle up the strings to make this puppet work
It doesn't have to be a game of patty cake
But it ain't like you don't know I sleep in that alleyway
And by the way, I can see it in your eyes
You're angry with your life, not a stranger to the fight
I bet you hate every man that you date
And you're probably addicted to all types of escape
You take it out on me that you're all alone
When you know you got your own closet full of hollow bones
Watch the tone when you speak to old folks
I'm grown, just trying to get out of this Minnesota cold

Look lady, I'm homeless, I'm crazy
I'm so hopeless I'm suicidal daily
If you and I can't coexist, let's fake it
'Cause I ain't got the energy it takes for this relationship

I'm waiting for a city bus to flatten me
And transport me to the ever after happily
Maybe reincarnated with luck
Come back to Earth as a cockroach in your tip cup
She said she's had it up to here
She's gonna call authorities if I don't disappear
I love her threats, it rejuvenates my breath
I give her stress for the reaction that it gets
I got a pocket full of clean, handled money
On a cup of bad coffee and a stale honey bun
In front of everyone she calls me bum
But she notices my absence on them afternoons I don't come
So here I am, thorn in her hip
Holding down the corner table all morning with some corn chips
Ignoring the insults and evil eyes
I feed off of 'em, I wonder when she'll realize
That she's the only reason I visit
The only woman in my world that acknowledges my existence
And if my ship ever comes, I'll miss it
Because I'm getting old and I ain't got much left to give it
So there it is and I have to live with it
I had the chance to make a difference, but I didn't
In the cafe bathroom drinking free tap water
Thinking, damn, I should have been a better father to my daughter

Orignal song is the first link, and the piano remix is the second one. I find it amazing that something like dubstep (dont get me wrong, I like dubstep) can be translated into something like the second link. Music is music.

Earl Sweatshirt at age 16 when he went by the name Sly Tendencies.

Tons of double meanings, and just a sick flow.

Lyrics:

Juicebox, tank top, tube socks
Dude stop, forehead shiny like a new Glock
Two shots fired at the Excursion we were swervin' in
All purpose verses with a passion for servin' kids
Empty out your purses on an immature crime spree
Eyin' up the nurses with some gloves that read I squeeze
Who the fuck said to speak, Mr. Me-Is-Siamese?
Even Christ said "Christ, he flows quite nicely"
Hypebeast's highly likely to bite me
And try to high five me, but I just give them high threes
Cause y'all don't get two, touch me, I'm the shit
Sue me, if you got an issue, grab a tissue
Mediocrity is odd to me
Ass as far as your eyes can see, who the best? They holla me
Nombre, Ho-lay shit, I don't spit crack, I spit cocaine crisp
I ain't fuckin' with it if it's no payment (Why?)
Cause everyone knows payed dues don't pay rent
I'm dope like the coke that I'm laced with
Dreams what I'm chasin', flow hot it's chafin'
This is why I'm hot? No, that is why I'm blazin'
Dilla jacked Nick, I am shinin' like the diamond that I'm draped in
But I don't wear jewelery, it's HUF over Louis V
Excuse the endurance miss, this critic thing is new to me

Watch the sun,
As it crawls across a final time
And it feels like,
Like it was a friend.
It is watching us,
And the world we set on fire
Do you wonder,
If it feels the same?

And the sky is filled with light
Can you see it?
All the black is really white
If you believe it
As your time is running out
Let me take away your doubt
You can find a better a place
In this twilight

Dust to dust,
Ashes in your hair remind me
What it feels like
And I won't feel again
Night descends
Could I have been a better person
If I could only do it all again

And the sky is filled with light
Can you see it?
All the black is really white
If you believe it
And the longing that you feel
You know none of this is real
You will find a better a place
In this twilight
